Water Rocks! Summer Day Camps

Iowa State University's Water Rocks! Day Camps, for ages 9-14, are fun-filled, adventurous science and nature camps that invites campers to take part in a day full of outdoor exploration, games, and activities!

Campers will learn about biodiversity, watersheds, wetlands, soil, and so much more through scientific investigation, music and art, and interactive activities. Cost = FREE!  However, space is limited, so register your child today to reserve a spot in one of our debut WR! Day Camps this summer!

Ages

Water Rocks! Summer Day Camps are open to youth ages 9-14. At this time, we are unable to accommodate campers outside of this age range.

Monday, June 26       Winterset City Park, Winterset       June 26 - Parental Permission Agreement
Thursday, July 6       Greenwood Park, Des Moines       July 6 - Parental Permission Agreement
Friday, July 7       Greenwood Park, Des Moines       July 7 - Parental Permission Agreement


Camper Dropoff = 9:30 - 10:00am
WR! Day Camp = 10:00am - 4:00pm
Camper Pickup = 4:00 - 4:30pm

Camp Registration

To register your child(ren) for one of the WR! Summer Day Camps, select your desired date above, download the parental permission form at right, and complete the agreement form in its entirety. A separate parental permission agreement form must be completed for each child that is being signed up. Your child's camp registration will not be confirmed until the agreement form is submitted to Water Rocks!.

Agreement forms can be returned to Water Rocks! via the following means:

Water Rocks! team members will communicate with you via email once registration materials have been received.

Camp Cost

Is the cost really free??  Yes, thanks to the generosity of Water Rocks! partners including the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture, Iowa Department of Natural Resources (USEPA Section 319), and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
