Liz Juchems

Liz Juchems serves as the Events Coordinator for Water Rocks! and Iowa Learning Farms.  She is an economist, classroom educator, farmer partner liaison, social media guru, organizational genius, and true Iowa farm girl!  Liz 03

"I received my bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and Economics and completed my masters degree in Agricultural Economics in 2013. I worked with the Conservation Pack as an undergraduate and am happy to be returning as a full time employee.  I keep the C-Pack organized and busy throughout the year as we travel to all corners of the state of Iowa promoting soil and water quality. When I am not out with the Conservation Station and Water Rocks!, I am using my economics knowledge to study farmer behavior and conduct feasibility studies for different agricultural management practices.

My favorite water body is the Cedar River in northeast Iowa. The river flows very close to my family’s farm and some of my favorite memories are boating, canoeing, and fishing with friends and family. I love attending Cyclone athletic events and helping out with the family farm. I also really enjoy traveling – which is great because we cover a lot of miles on Iowa’s roads!"
